A quick and easy Halloween snack board featuring cheese, candy, fruit, and crackers that comes together in under 20 minutes. Perfect for school parties, family movie nights, or last-minute events, this kid-friendly charcuterie board balances sweet and savory flavors with a spooky twist.

Ingredients

  • Cheddar cheese block, cut into cubes
  • String cheese sticks, cut in half
  • Babybel cheese rounds, unwrapped
  • Cream cheese spread, softened
  • Candy corn
  • Chocolate-covered pretzels
  • Gummy worms
  • Mini candy bars (Snickers, Kit Kat, Reese’s), unwrapped
  • M&Ms in Halloween colors (orange, purple, green)
  • Pumpkin-shaped marshmallows or regular marshmallows (optional)
  • Red and green grapes, washed and separated into small clusters
  • Apple slices, tossed in lemon juice to prevent browning
  • Pretzel sticks
  • Crackers of your choice (butter crackers, wheat thins, or mini bagel chips)
  • Peanut butter (for dipping)
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Edible googly eyes

Instructions

  1. Place your large cutting board or platter on the counter. If using parchment paper, lay it down now for easy cleanup.
  2. Place 2-3 small bowls or ramekins on the board. Fill one with peanut butter, one with cream cheese spread, and one with M&Ms or loose candy corn. Spread them out so they’re not clustered together.
  3. Arrange cheese cubes in small groups around the board. Place cheddar in one corner, Babybel rounds in another, and string cheese sticks in between. Leave space between cheese types. Use cookie cutters to cut cheese slices into ghost or bat shapes if desired.
  4. Scatter grape clusters in empty spaces between cheese and bowls. Place apple slices in a fan pattern near one edge of the board.
  5. Fill remaining gaps with crackers and pretzel sticks. Create little ‘paths’ of pretzels leading from one section to another.
  6. Place mini candy bars in small piles around the board. Arrange gummy worms so they look like they’re crawling over the cheese or climbing out of bowls. Scatter Halloween M&Ms and candy corn in empty spaces for pops of color.
  7. If using edible googly eyes, stick them on a few cheese cubes or strawberries. Sprinkle Halloween sprinkles lightly over the whole board.
  8. Serve immediately. If making ahead, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 hours, but add candy and crackers just before serving.

Notes

Let cheese sit out for 10-15 minutes before serving to soften. Separate candy from cheese to avoid flavor transfer. Place dip bowls near edges of board so kids can reach easily. For nut-free version, skip peanut butter and use sunflower seed butter or hummus. For gluten-free option, use gluten-free crackers and pretzels. For dairy-free version, use dairy-free cheese alternatives and hummus or guacamole instead of cream cheese.
