Perfect Halloween Charcuterie Board with Candy Corn

Halloween Charcuterie Board - featured image

A festive, no-cook Halloween charcuterie board featuring a mix of sharp cheddar, brie, prosciutto, candy corn, and fresh fruits, designed to be quick, easy, and visually spooky.

Ingredients

  • Sharp Cheddar Cheese (cut into cubes or sticks)
  • Brie or Camembert (whole wheel or wedges)
  • White Cheddar (small cubes or triangles)
  • Prosciutto or Salami (folded slices)
  • Pepperoni Chips (baked until crispy)
  • Candy Corn
  • Salted Pretzel Sticks and Twists
  • Orange Goldfish Crackers
  • White Chocolate Almonds
  • Red or Green Grapes
  • Apple Slices (Honeycrisp or Gala, tossed with lemon juice)
  • Celery Sticks
  • Cream Cheese (for witches’ fingers)
  • Almond Slivers (for witches’ fingers)
  • Spicy Honey
  • Toasted Walnuts or Pecans

Instructions

  1. Prep the cheese by cutting cheddar into cubes or sticks and leaving brie whole or in wedges. Place in the center of the board and let sit to reach room temperature.
  2. Fold slices of prosciutto or salami loosely and arrange around the cheeses. If making pepperoni chips, bake at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes until crispy, then cool completely before adding.
  3. Scatter pretzel sticks and goldfish crackers in empty spaces, using pretzels to bridge gaps between cheeses for height and visual interest.
  4. Pile candy corn into small bowls or create a path on the board. Scatter white chocolate almonds near the white cheeses.
  5. Place grapes in clusters and arrange apple slices in a fan shape. For ‘witches’ fingers,’ spread cream cheese on celery sticks, add pretzel stick ‘fingernails,’ and an almond sliver for a nail.
  6. Drizzle spicy honey over the cheeses and meats. Sprinkle toasted nuts around the edges and add fresh herbs like rosemary for garnish if desired.

Notes

Let cheeses sit out for at least 30 minutes before serving to enhance flavor. Ensure pepperoni chips are completely cooled to prevent sogginess. Balance colors by adding green (grapes, celery) or white items to avoid a monochromatic look. For a vegetarian option, swap meats for roasted chickpeas or marinated tofu.
