Magical Witches Brew Green Punch

magical witches brew green punch - featured image

A spooky, bright green Halloween punch made with green soda, fresh lime juice, and creamy lime sherbet. It is a quick, non-alcoholic crowd-pleaser that balances sweet and tart flavors with a fizzy, frothy texture.

Ingredients

  • Green Soda (Sprite, 7Up, or Mountain Dew)
  • Lime Sherbet (softened)
  • Fresh Lime Juice (about 1/2 cup)
  • Simple Syrup (optional, for sweetness adjustment)
  • Ice (large cubes preferred)
  • Garnishes: Lime wheels, green gummy worms, or edible glitter

Instructions

  1. Juice fresh limes to get about half a cup of juice, then strain to remove seeds and pulp.
  2. Chill a large punch bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes if possible.
  3. Fill the chilled punch bowl halfway to two-thirds full with ice.
  4. Slowly pour about half of the green soda over the ice to preserve carbonation.
  5. Add the fresh lime juice to the soda and stir gently to combine.
  6. Taste the mixture; add simple syrup if too tart or more lime juice if too sweet.
  7. Gradually scoop generous amounts of lime sherbet into the punch, stirring gently after each addition to create a creamy, frothy consistency.
  8. Give the punch one final gentle stir, add garnishes, and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not over-stir after adding sherbet to avoid losing carbonation. Add sherbet last, right before serving, to prevent it from melting completely. The soda and lime juice can be mixed ahead of time, but do not store with the sherbet. For an alcoholic version, add 1.5 oz of vodka or white rum per glass.
