A quick, allergy-friendly snack featuring celery sticks spread with creamy sunflower butter and topped with raisins, offering a satisfying crunch and natural sweetness.

Ingredients

  • Celery stalks, washed and cut into 3-4 inch pieces
  • Sunflower butter (unsweetened and allergy-safe recommended)
  • Raisins (plump, soft; golden raisins optional)
  • Cinnamon (optional, a pinch)
  • Honey (optional drizzle, about ½ teaspoon per piece)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the celery stalks under cold water and pat dry. Trim off the ends and cut each stalk into 3-4 inch pieces.
  2. Using a small spatula or spoon, carefully spread about 1 to 1.5 tablespoons (15-22 grams) of sunflower butter onto the groove of each celery piece, creating a smooth, even layer.
  3. Place 8-10 raisins along the sunflower butter line on each celery piece to create the ‘ant’ trail. Soak raisins in warm water for 5 minutes beforehand if they are tough.
  4. Optionally, lightly sprinkle ground cinnamon over the top and drizzle about ½ teaspoon of honey per piece for added warmth and sweetness.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate and consume within 1-2 hours for best texture.

Notes

Use crisp celery for best texture; soak raisins in warm water if dry; warm sunflower butter slightly if too thick to spread; store assembled snack refrigerated and consume within 24 hours for best freshness.
