These Easy Mummy Dogs with Crescent Roll Wrap are a fun, quick, and delicious Halloween treat made with just hot dogs, crescent roll dough, and mustard for the eyes. Perfect for parties, game days, or a silly late-night snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 standard-sized hot dogs
  • 1 can (8-count) crescent roll dough (e.g., Pillsbury Original)
  • Yellow mustard (for the eyes)
  • Optional: Everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds
  • Optional: Cooking spray or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Open the can of crescent rolls, unroll the dough, and separate into 8 triangles along the perforated lines.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut each triangle lengthwise into thin strips (about 1/2 inch wide, 3-4 strips per triangle).
  4. Take one hot dog and wrap the dough strips around it diagonally, overlapping slightly. Leave a small gap at the top for the ‘face’ (eyes). Do not wrap too tightly.
  5. Place each wrapped mummy dog on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  6. Using a toothpick, dip into yellow mustard and place two small dots on the exposed part of the hot dog to create eyes.
  7. Optional: Brush the tops with melted butter for extra golden color.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

Keep the dough cold for easier handling. Do not overwrap the hot dogs; use 3-4 strips per dog. For make-ahead, assemble and refrigerate up to 4 hours before baking. Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
