charcuterie board for two - featured image

A beautifully imperfect, rustic charcuterie board designed for two, featuring a balanced selection of cheeses, meats, and accompaniments. It’s an effortless, no-cook meal that encourages sharing, conversation, and connection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz Brie or Camembert
  • 3 oz Manchego or Aged Gouda
  • 3 oz Blue Cheese or Goat Cheese
  • 4 oz Prosciutto
  • 3 oz Salami or Soppressata
  • A handful of crisp water crackers
  • 1 small baguette, sliced
  • 2 tbsp Fig Jam or Honey
  • 1/4 cup Cornichons or Olives
  • A small handful of Red or Green Grapes
  • 1/4 cup Marcona Almonds or Toasted Walnuts

Instructions

  1. Place your small ramekins on the board in different spots. Fill them with the fig jam, olives, and nuts.
  2. Place your cheeses in distinct areas of the board. Slice the hard cheese into thin triangles or small cubes and fan them out. For the brie, place it whole or cut into a few large wedges. The blue cheese can be crumbled or placed in a single wedge.
  3. Fold or roll your prosciutto slices into loose ribbons. For the salami, fold them in half, then in half again to create little ‘salami roses’ or simply fan them out in a line. Place these near the cheeses they pair best with.
  4. Arrange your crackers and baguette slices around the edges of the board and in the open spaces. Spread them out so it’s easy for both of you to reach.
  5. Tuck the grapes into any remaining empty spaces. Use them to fill gaps and add pops of color. A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme can be tucked under the cheese for a beautiful, aromatic touch.
  6. Step back and look at your board. Are there any bare spots? Add a few more crackers or a couple of extra almonds. Drizzle a little honey over the brie or the goat cheese for a final, gorgeous flourish.

Notes

For the best flavor, take your cheeses out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before assembling. Room temperature cheese has a much creamier texture and more pronounced flavor. Don’t be afraid of crowding the board; a sparse board looks sad. Fill every nook and cranny. Prep everything before you start to make assembly smooth and stress-free.
