Quick and easy air fryer chicken wings coated in a sticky, sweet, and spicy honey sriracha glaze. Crispy skin without the grease, ready in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 23 lbs chicken wings (wingettes and drumettes)
  • 1 tablespoon aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  2. Place dried wings in a large bowl and sprinkle with baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine sriracha, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and ground ginger. Microwave for 30-45 seconds to warm, then stir in water until smooth.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Arrange wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not stacked or overcrowded.
  6. Air fry for 15 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping wings halfway through.
  7. Check for doneness; wings should be golden brown and crispy with an internal temperature of 165°F. Add 2-5 minutes if needed.
  8. Transfer cooked wings to a bowl and pour the honey sriracha sauce over them. Toss quickly to coat evenly.
  9. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

Ensure wings are completely dry before seasoning to prevent steaming. Use aluminum-free baking powder to avoid metallic taste. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary. For a vegan version, substitute honey with maple syrup.
