A quick, no-cook breakfast made with rolled oats, banana, milk, and peanut butter. This recipe requires only three minutes of prep and results in a creamy, pudding-like texture that is perfect for meal prep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) creamy peanut butter
  • 12 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mash the ripe banana thoroughly in a mason jar or mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add the milk, peanut butter, maple syrup (if using), and salt to the jar.
  3. Mix vigorously with a spoon or whisk until the peanut butter is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.
  4. Add the rolled oats and stir until fully submerged in the liquid.
  5. Seal the jar tightly and shake gently to distribute oats evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  7. In the morning, stir well. Add a splash of milk if too thick.
  8. Serve cold or warm in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.

Notes

Use ripe bananas with brown spots for natural sweetness and better texture. Ensure oats are fully submerged to prevent dry pockets. If using steel-cut oats, soak for 12-24 hours as they remain chewy. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
