A simple, stress-free charcuterie board for two that comes together in under 10 minutes. Perfect for date night or a cozy evening in, with creamy cheese, salty meat, sweet fruit, and crunchy nuts.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 varieties of cheese (e.g., brie, aged cheddar, gorgonzola)
  • 23 types of cured meat (e.g., prosciutto, salami, coppa)
  • 2 varieties of crackers (e.g., water crackers, rosemary crackers)
  • Fresh fruit (e.g., red seedless grapes, honeycrisp apple)
  • Dried fruit (e.g., dried mission figs or apricots)
  • Nuts (e.g., Marcona almonds or roasted almonds)
  • Olives (e.g., castelvetrano olives)
  • Honey or jam (e.g., wildflower honey, fig jam)
  • Optional: cornichons, dark chocolate, fresh herbs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Take cheeses out of fridge 15-20 minutes before serving. Place brie whole on board, slice cheddar into thin triangles or cubes, and crumble or slice gorgonzola into chunks. Arrange them around the board, leaving space between each type.
  2. Fold prosciutto slices into loose ribbons or rosettes and place in a cluster near one corner. Fan out salami slices in a line or pile casually. Place coppa or speck in another spot.
  3. Arrange crackers in small stacks or fan them out in a line. Put neutral crackers near cheddar and flavored ones near brie.
  4. Tuck small clusters of grapes into gaps between cheese and meat. Fan out apple slices in a little arc (squeeze lemon juice to prevent browning). Place dried figs or apricots in a small pile near blue cheese.
  5. Spoon olives into a small bowl and place on board. Scatter almonds in any remaining empty spaces. Put honey or jam in another small bowl.
  6. Tuck a few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme around the board for color. Serve immediately with cheese knives and small plates.

Notes

Let cheese sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving for best flavor. Don’t overthink the arrangement—just place things in clusters. Balance textures and flavors with soft and hard cheeses, mild and bold meats, and sweet and savory extras. Add a little something pickled (like cornichons) to cut through richness. Use what you have—the best boards come from cleaning out your fridge.
